I was born to Malawian and Mozambican parents and have raised three children.

Working for the United Nations, I lived in and visited many countries around the world.

Sudan in 2004 is where my passion for beads and gemstones began. Omduurman, a famous market in Khartoum, exposed me to the wonderful world of beads in all shapes, sizes and colours imaginable. Antique trade beads, semi precious, glass beads and old brass.

My passion led me to learn the technique of jewellery making and design. I studied the craft in Kenya and Switzerland and continued collecting beads from the world over, namely Venetian Milifiori, Lapiz Lazuli, Amethyst, Rhondachriste, Turquouise, Malachite, Coral, Fresh Water Pearls, Black Onyx, Moonstone, Granite, Opal, Jade, Bone, Horn, Kazuri, Labrodarite, Citrine, Amber, Sodalite, Agate, Chalcedony, Garnet and many many more.
